Yes | (1) you have a firewall issue. Did you disable XP's firewall & configure Sygate firewall to allow LW full access?
(2) check the number of days you have set to keep incomplete files. (if it's set to 7 or less then you will lose your downloads.)
(3) If LW is not shut down properly then downloads will refuse to reload when restarting LW.
(4) Reinstalling will not affect the downloads. All information about downloads is stored within the incomplete folder. Only if you made the LW program folder the download folder would you have problems.
