Downloads stay at 0 Kb/s

Hi I've been using limewire and other download clients such as bittorrent and azeurus for a good while now, but about a month or two ago, they all stopped working and I couldn't download anything. I got help from someone and I fixed azeurus which now downloads fine. I havn't bothered with bitorrent or limewire because I was happy with azeurus. What fixed its problem was going into options>Connection>transport encryption and allowing outgoing and incoming non-encrypted connections.
Now I wish to use Limewire again but it is still the same as it last was; my connection to the network is very strong (5 green bars), I can search for things and get as many results, I can download, but it always stays at 0kb/s at the most moving to 4/5kb/s (rarely though). I have noticed though that I can download from more hosts (maybe just a coincidence?) I only used to be able to dwnload from 2 at the most but its now 7/8.
I'm using Windows XP, Talktalk broadband, and I have not installed any new security or anything as it has always been working fine even when I could download easily of limewire.
Anyone know how I can get download speeds back to normal?
Many Thanks

Dude I think I read that they throddled at certain peak times. You might give them a call. Also you might be able to change listening ports but I'm not 100% sure. I'll try to more info. I'll be back
