First, purchasing Limewire Pro does not entitle you to download copyright music, just remember that you are not downloading from a controlled server but from someone elses PC. If you want to download from a controlled and safe source then (for goodness sake) stick to places like Amazon.com or the RIAA, if they catch you, will sue you (I presume you are an American).

As for burning CDs, not all CD players, especially the older ones, can play MP3 or WMA files so will need burning software that can convert files you download to files your CD player can play, namely CDA (CD Audio) files.

For this I suggest Nero verion 6 or 7, which you can download and use for a trial period.

you most likely have to make an audio CD...

hint: use the forum search engine and search for 'audio cd'

MP3 is a computer file so there is no mystery why your laptop can play MP3 files that you have burned and your car CD player can’t. Nero 6 or 7 will convert your MP3 files into CD Audio files as it is burning your new CD.
