"connecting..." Need More Sources"

Hey guys, i had a problem on basic where i couldn't download a file, it was stuck on "connecting" status in the download bar then switched to Need more sources.

At first i thought this was a basic restriction so i changed to pro, however i still get it, i download smallish files ai: songs, pictures fine. Turbo charged connection, no brick wall, everything is perfect.

Then when i try to download movies, the connecting status never dissapears. Please help that would be great.

I admit, I'm a little confused by this response.

I'm having the exact same problems as Lebleh. Some background: I am running an HP Pavilion tx 1000 notebook with Vista and LimeWire Basic. I have used LimeWire for several years and, aside from some issues with system hogging, I have had almost no difficulty with the program.

I am still able to search for files but they never get past "Connecting..."; I consider myself fairly P2P savvy, and I am 100% certain that these results are not fakes. All have the right name, are the right size for the type of file I'm looking for, and have 4 stars next to the name.

So what is going on?

Edit: I forgot to mention this, but I have no difficulty downloading songs. Movies are what I'm having trouble with.

EeVee, Sorry I missed your edit about only having trouble with movies. I had to step away for awhile. Have you ever used Bitzi to verify movie files? I will give you this to look at and then I'll check out your system details. Bitzi is a good way to verify movie files. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...owse-chat.html.

I have looked at it, but I honestly think that the problem is either with my computer or with LimeWire, and has nothing to do with whether the files I am attempting to download are "real" or not. While I do not claim to be a computer genius, I have been using P2P software for many years and have no difficulty recognizing invalid search returns. Therefore, I do not think Bitzi would be helpful for solving my problem.
