slow downloads
 
i had the free version of limwire and the speed of download was ok . then i upgraded and it was really fast (50kB/s download.) for some reason now i can only downlad at about 0-4 kB/s . is there anyway of getting the fast download speed back . i just upgraded my internet speed , but that didn't help . please help:(

i'm not too good with computers but i'll try to fill in my system details .
1. i have windows xp
2.avg's firewall
3.504mb of ram
4. 40gb of free space
5.broadband , 1 gb connection
6.i'm not sure of the of the modem but it is a wireless connection
7.connceting from a house
8.limewire 4.12.11 pro , java 1.6.0_01
9. isp is northrock , bermuda
10.your test worked was the only thing on the screen when i folled the link
11.there are no shared connections with my computer
12.i have been using LW for a while , but not too good with it
13.there is no brickwall in front of the globe
14. the upnp is enabled
15.i use avg for security
16.i live in bermuda

All of your details look fine, so try these fixes they may help...

Go to your connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it...
Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more...

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...
