sum1 please help.....(very slow download speed)
 
i have limewire pro....
i have a turbo charged connection.....
i can search....
i can even download...
it says im downloading from 10/14 hosts...but
i have no connection speed it sits at 1kb/s and zero!!!!!
can some1 tell me what i'm doing wrong :bangh::bangh:

Have you been able to download normally in the past?

Download a file (any one) from here & see what speed you get.

3. How much ram? 448MB
4. Hard Disk space available? 129GB
5. Connection type? BROADBAND

7. Where are you trying to connect from? HOUSE
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW 4.12.6 PRO JAVA 1.6.0_02
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? TALK TALK
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? "IT SAYS YOUR TEST WORKED"
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. NO
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. NEW PROBLEM
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? NO

I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD A CLIP FROM THE SITE THE SPEED WAS 0KB-1KB/S

IS THERE ANYTHING I'M DOING WRONG?

Sorry, but Talk Talk customers have a lot of problems. Have a look at these threads below. If you use the forum search to look for Talk Talk, you'll probably find more threads;)

Is that it then, TalkTalk

ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire

1-3k downloads

ISPs that throttle p2p - The Scream!

You could try changing ports but there's no guarantee that it's going to help you. In LW tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Change LW's listening port to 64049 (or something in the range of 49152 - 65535) > Apply > ok.
