music OK, but avi files always "Need more sources"

I've been using Limewire on & off for several years. I can always download music fine, as usual -- but I've found recently whenever I try to download an *.avi video file, I always get "Need more sources" -- even when there are anything up to 100 hosts (#) showing.
For ex today, I tried to download any "*****" episode -- there are scores listed in a search. But every single one comes up with "connecting" which changes quickly to "Need more sources", and eventually settles down for the rest of the day as "Awaiting Sources".
Meanwhile I will have successfully downloaded any number of music files. And this pattern never changes.
Any suggestions?

dom
PS: since posting I have found a couple of *.avi files which I can download successfully after all. The problem now seems to be ***** -- cannot download any of the scores of ****** *.avi files which show up in a search without getting "Awaiting sources" msg. I don't know the technicalities -- could this be just because the "lines are busy"?

Always use Bitzi to check a video file before download. If other users have rated the file, you'll get some idea of it's content & quality. If a file has heaps of sources but no Bitzi rating...chances are that it's a fake. More info about fake files here.

Try varying your search terms. Use the All Types search. Search for show name - format (eg blahblah - avi). Or search for a specific episode of a series...(eg blahblah 01 x 12, when you're looking for episode 12 of series 1) or blahblah s01e12 for the same thing.
