safety I am very keen not to ruinmy computer with dangerous files but limewire says that the only trustworthy ones are the ones witha padlock next to them-there doesnt seem to be any of them in my searches! only the ones with stars next to them which are apparently viruses! what can i do? |
The stars means actually the quality (i.e. the possibility that you will be able tyo download the file); more stars, better chance... Cheers FOTH :Smilywais: |
Eh5195 The only real thing you can do to be safe is to virus check every file you download before using it. I would also recommend that you use a firewall, if you haven't got one, so that you cannot be hacked or have stuff (malware) planted on your computer. However, if you share your machine with others, nothing can protect you from stupidity or reckless behaviour. Shark Chum |
