10 Hosts & Thats It.....why ?

Hi guys can anyone please EXPLAIN to me why I only ever connect to 10 Hosts,
ever since I start using LimeWire a few year back I've never been able to connect to more than 10 Hosts,?
is this right ?
Does this happen to us all ?
