Thousands of bogus files

For some reason there are thousands of bogus files in my library that you can not open and were not previously on my hard drive. There is every kind of software you can imagine listed and everyone of them is listed as 197.7 KB
It takes me several minutes to scroll through them all and none of them work.
I tried everything I could think of to get rid of them but they just come back if you delete them. I even deleted lime wire completely off my computer and downloaded it again...as soon as I did they all came back.

Always make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & scan all files that you download, before you open them
