geeee.....do you think we WORK here, or what????

maybe if you delete some files from your HDD you will have more room...you think????...of course you might prefer to buy another HDD so that you can have lots more room so you don't have to delete files....maybe burn them to CD???....a 250GB HDD costs about $60 these days, so no big expense to upgrade your system...

Hi everyone...my name is johnny and this is my first time here. I am not sure who to ask but here goes... I can download limewire and music and videos, small problem... when i try to play the music there is no sound and the system says it is playing. What is the problem?

nkdy November 19th, 2007 05:20 PM

samprass, what the peerless mean is your hard disk is full, maybe u should consider to buy a new hard disk with more storage, like 250 gigabytes hard disk...

jskfcc, what type of music did u dwload??..mp3??ogg?? maybe u have a codec issue...

jsjfcc November 19th, 2007 05:39 PM

thanks for responding nkdy... we have downloaded mp3... thats usually all i will download. Limewire shows it is playing but there is no sound. Yet if i go to MusicMatch Jukebox it will play... what is going on?

nkdy November 19th, 2007 06:11 PM

i'm not pretty sure about your problem jsjfcc, but it's not a codec problem i think, stick with this forum, someone will give the answer, or u can search the forum to find articles about mp3 problem:D...

sampras66 if you have more than one hard disk drive, you can change the location of where your downloads go. You can also set particular media types to download to different locations. On both mac & windows I prefered to download to my non-system hard disk drive. See (a) How to Change download location (click on link) (b) See How to Change download location (click on link) (specific for folders / media types)

jsjfcc that is an interesting problem. LW's media player does have some limitations. Perhaps you may wish to use your regular audio player instead. To do that, go to LW's menu bar, Tools > Options > Player & disable media player. Next time you open LW your regular audio player will open each time you launch an audio file from LW.

BTW LW's media player gets low priority of cpu when you are downloading files, so if LW is busy, the media player can suffer. Try playing those files you had difficulty with just after opening LW. ;)

I am having a problem downloading music

Hi All,

This is my first post to the forum.

I have had limewire for a while. I had not used it in a while. When I tried to download, nothing happened. I wanted to get the Pro but I want to make sure that I will be able to download once I start paying for the service.

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

nkdy November 19th, 2007 08:08 PM

try use LW basic first, configure its properly (if u dunno how to configure it & optimize upload & dload, search forum, read it & learn it) when u satisfy with LW dwload speed & upload speed after u configure it, then u can buy LW Pro...adios..:D

What happened when you tried to download? If files didn't even move into the download pane, try the advice here.
