Saving to the wrong folder?

OK, maybe it's because I've used a Mac all my life and just got my first PC and maybe it's because I've never downloaded mp3s before but here's my problem.

I would like Limewire to save my downloads in a folder that is NOT the default location. I have tried using the "Browse..." function to change it, and this works for the remainder of the time that Limewire is open. But when I start it up again, it has reverted to the old default. I have tried using the "Apply" button and the "OK" button and saving it afterward. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone know how to PERMANENTLY set the default save location?

LimeWire only seems to write the settings to a file when it is quit normally. So after OK'ing your settings quit LimeWire and open it up again.
