Limewire & Ac3 codec? need advice
 

Hello guys, i recently downloaded some movies off Limewire in (AVI) format, upon playing them, i realised that there is no sound at all, the picture is perfect but why am i not getting any sound??

I also noticed, that the movie files also say (Ac3)

I am using windows media player 8, what do i need to do, in order to play Ac3 movies in windows media player 8????

I keep hearing things about about Ac3 codecs, can someone plz give me futher details on Ac3 codecs/filter & how does one use them...

Google Klite codec pac...that's what I use and it seems to play just about everything I throw at it...

Thanx for the reply peerles, i think all i need is something that will allow me to play movies with AC3 audio!

do i need to download the (AC3 filter) ???

will this work with, windows media player 8? and what is the installation process?

look....skip all the 'anxiety' about something new and just download it, install it, and be comfortable in the knowledge that you will be able to play almost anything you acquire

hey thanx peerless, i downloaded the ac3 filter last night, and that did the trick, can watch ac3 videos now! cheers mate! :idea:
