Storage problem

Hi everyone, I've been using limewire for a while now with no problems. Recently limewire has started to automatically compress all my downloaded files to zip files and when I try to unzip them I get messages that the files are corrupt. This even happened to files that were previously working properly before my limewire started compressing everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx
