Default Download Speed?

I have a fast cable connection (100Mbs) but I only get download speeds of 20-30 kbs in Limewire. Any ideas?

well you have to think that some people limit how much bandwidth they allow for uploads and what there internet connection is.

Sdwillia

I am going to make a couple of assumptions:-

1) Your Internet connection is a facility provided via your apartment's owners.

2) Your Internet providers are "bandwidth shaping" (restricting) your P2P communication while letting your browsing connection through untouched.

If my first assumption is correct then I suggest you call your ISP and ask them if they are restricting your P2P connection.
