100% Downloaded files won't verify

I am using Windows XP. For some reason, once my downloads are finished they are not going through the verify process to close them out of my download section. They continue to sit in an "active" download spot and do not move themselves to the "completed" area. So far I have at least four of these files that have finished downloading but have not gone through the verify process.

I know I probably need to re-boot my system (at least), but I really do not want to lose these files. They are rather large .mp4 and .mpg files that have taken a long time to download, so I do not want to re-boot until I have done everything possible to save them from being lost.

Why is this happening? Is there any way to save the downloads and get them to verify so I don't have to start over?

Are you able to preview the files?? What version of Limewire are you running. Might need to upgrade. I have also had some luck clicking pause,wait for a minute and then click resume. The only other thing would be to close Limewire and re-open. The files may go to the incomplete folder where you can then try resume. Hope this helps.
