Playing Downloaded Videos

Hello...i Downloaded Limewire Yesterday. I Am Not Too Good With Computers. What I Want To Do Is Be Able To Play A Video I Downloaded. When I Click On It After It Is 100% Complete The Media Player Opens Up But Nothing Happens. Windows Open Up Asking Me All Sorts Of Questions And I Do Not Know What To Do? How Do I Fix This? Why Is This Happenning?

Depends on what it's asking or telling you. May be a Codec Problem. Try this.

Try installing the VLC media player, it has all the codecs pre-installed and can play just about all files...
VLC media player - Overview

Get one of these pacs also...
For XP this codec pac is very good
Download XP Codec Pack 2.0.8 - XP Codec Pack is one of the most complete codec pack
Or for Vista this pac
Vista Codec Package v4.5.7 (freeware)

what do i do once i've downloaded vlc and the codec? i don't even know what to do with them? should i click on the videos i downloaded and they use this software automatically?

If you're going to download VLC Media Player you Don't need to download another Codec Pack. Once it's downloaded you will need to make VLC your Default Player. Then when you open the files it will open in VLC.
To change the default player to VLC...These instructions are for XP.

While in Limewire go to Library. Now click Explore, in lower left corner. This will take you to your saved/shared folder outside of Limewire. Now Right click any file. Highlight Open With. Now go to choose VLC and click Always use Program to open.... and click OK.
