9000 Downloads??

It all of a sudden says i have approx 9000 downloads. I have no idea where these came from and I am worried about viruses. Any advice??

What type of files are they (mp3, zip, rar etc)?

Did you download something just before these extra downloads started showing...if you did, what type of file did you download?

Have you done an antivirus scan? Which AV program do you use?

Do you scan downloaded files with your AV before opening?
