Slow Download Speed

Hi all! this is my first post so please be gentle with me, When i had limewire basic it worked fine but downloads were slow and search results were poor, I have been with 360 sharepro (limewirepro) for over a year and have good results but lately for a few months download speeds have been getting slower and slower and now i can hardly download at all, Is everyone having the same problem as me? as a google search suggests that this system is a rip off and people should uninstall it. What can i or what should i do,as i found this the best music sharing program around.
