Already downloading?? No it ain't...
 

Hi,
Prob downloading a torrent- says I am already downloading the file... but I ain't. Using Beta now, and have checked the root dirs. to ensure that Limewire is not already on the torrent. How do I get this file?? Can i reset?Nothing listed in the download section either....

try shutting down and restarting LW

Obiously, I've tried that and a full reinstall.... any other ideas?

Re-start is an obvious first step. Infact, my laptop is shut down atleast 4 times a week.
Secondly, i said re-set NOT re-start ie: can i reset LW settings so it doesn't think it is already downloading this file?
Tried to get this file about 6 months ago, cancelled the download and moved to LW Beta. Now when i try to start the torrent, it says it is already downloading this file.... yet it doesn't show it in the monitor screen and nothing is listed in the incomplete directory.
Can anyone add anything useful?

I hope someone can come up with a productive solution to this problem as it seems to be very common. I am also experiencing a similar problem with my download attempts saying,

, but like you and many others we ain't. It doesn't matter what file I choose, I keep getting this annoying message saying I am already downloading it. :bangh:

I am using Limewire Pro v4.17.1 - Java v1.6.0_03 all on Windows XP Pro SR2. I have tried ALL the option changes but nowt is sorted out, nada, no-go, zilch. :mad2:
You have my sympathy - I know the frustration - I just hope someone can seriously help us, or I am likely to dump this Limewire for good.

dump LW all you want...I did ages ago and am using the expired BearShare beta via the BearStart utility....apparently you all haven't noticed I have the power to give you a warning (which I just did)...and apparently this is a widespread problem with LW now whereas in the past it only happened rarely (I'm pretty sure that shutting down LW and restarting worked in the past when it happened to me, but that was ages ago)....

why don't you go here and bug the 'real' experts...:cheesy:
