No download window appears ???
 

Got Limewire 4.12 .
I noticed that most of my songs searched for were mpeg layer3 audio but I can only download the Windows Media Audio files. When I select the mpeg layer 3 songs (about 99% of them), it won't download. But when I select the Windows Media Audio files, then it downloads normally.

How can I download the Mpeg Layer3 audio files ? Have a new laptop using windows XP.

You Can't download MP3's?? What happens when you try?? Anything??
Check your settings and also the Media Index (left side) Click the Little Circle and then check Type.

Thx for the response Remoc........Nothing happens when I select the song to d/l.
What would you like me to check for Settings ? Don't know where the media index is ??

Those are probably fake files. Especially if your search returns thousands of results. For me it seems to come and go. I can do a search and get what I'd consider a normal amount of results(less than 1000) and they'll be good files. Then I'll do a search and get 4000 results(mostly all fake). So keep trying you should be able to find some good ones.

It's probably just coincidental that you've been having trouble with mp3s and not mpegs. Popular files tend to bring up more fake results.

This is still not working. I don't think it's any fake files. I've searched 10 artists and they all come up with the itunes logo (music note icon).

On my other laptop, they all come up as Windows Media 3 icons (4 colors with black arrow).

Something else weird though. Back home (in Canada) I was able to d/l songs, but now in the US, I'm not able to.

I'm wondering if this may be a license issue.
