Ive re-installed the newest LimeWire and i cant get it to search or download - Help ?
 

Ive re-installed limewire, the newest version, and i cant get it to download. I put in the search box what i want but it doesnt do anything. It brings up a search screen like it usually would but doesnt bring anything up at all!!

Can anyone suggest anything

l have the same problem and no idea how to fix it! Limewire opens and connects (full bars in left hand corner. when I search the search comes up in the box on the top and the progress of the search is indicated there but absolutly nothing happens in the search screen. I have searched things I have got hundreds of results for before and nothing! it is indicating that the search is progressing but there are no results! can someboby please, please solve this problem???????

I hate to say it...I have the same problem... and no answer yet... I have deleted the whole program and all residual folders and including registry files, Then reinstalled completely... I had one file to download an incomplete file that would find the network and start downloading as usual... but no search results showing. for any type search... its almost like a file with the command to show the results as viewable is corrupt or there is a block on the ISP for searching results...however that might only be by your ISP provider.

It Started With Having It Downloading But No Progress But Now.. Nothing, Doesnt Even Find Songs I Got Endless Results For Before.

Ive Re-Installed, Virus Checks, Dis && Re-Connecting, N More... Yet Nothing

I am having same problems...using XP...long time user Limewire...all was fine, hundreds of search results per keyword or whats new untill I upgraded to 4.16 a week ago...first problem after upgrade was not being able to connect...replaced gnutella.net file and got connected but almost no search results for things I am used to getting lots...tried all kind of settings...even tried beta 4.17...still nada...please help:bangh:

Ok last night after I posted..... I tried the search again and it worked .... just now I opened the limewire again and the search worked again... I think it might be the servers for peer to peer work.... it might do it to some....and not others ... ok ...if you want to try what I did in case that fixed the problem.... you have to unistall the program ...then find the folder for limewire ....(it leaves a folder after you uninstall it) dont delete you exe file for limewire you used to install it... delete that folder ... then if you feel comfortable to deal with the registry, go the the registry , use the seach , put limewire in .. you should find one folder on the tree and then another file... delete those but nothing else.
Then use your exe file for limewire and install it completely new.... then if it doesnt work... leave it on for an hour and see if the search works.... if you dont understand the deleting process let me know.

ive had the same problem as you all but i just opened limewire and tried a search and i got the results i wanted so its working for me

Idk What To Do Now :( It Just Will Not Work For Me.
