song downloaded into all song

I downloaded a song, then it played only half that song, but it was in every other song I had downloaded too! Now I can't get any to play at all

Unfortunately it sounds like you have downloaded a virus infected file.
Make sure your antivirus software is up to date and do a thorough scan of all the files you have downloaded because it sounds like at least one of them is corrupted and causing this problem.

Don't suppose, at your level of knowledge, that there's any reason at all to maybe ask kmrausch what type of music file it was? No?
