Upgraded to Limewire Pro 4.16.6 - Now Downloads Not Being Continued Upon Running LW! Well I just upgraded to Limewire Pro 4.16.6 and tonight when I started the program it told that it couldn't continue my downloads. I had about 4-5 files that were about 50%-70% complete so there is quite a bit of data dropped. I went to the incomplete folder and the files are still there, resuming them through LW just restarted them from 0% so that was a waste. The last time I shut the program down there was no problem. It hasn't crashed at all. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? I am using Windows XP SP2. |
Me too. 4.16.6. Thats my version. On Vista. Exactly the same problem. So if you don't mind I'll piggy back your problem and see what the reply is! |
LW can't find old downloads. How to fix this? I got the same problem too. Im using LW 4.16.6 and when I start LW again after a night's rest, LW says it can't find any old downloads. It only says this after the PC has been shut off or restarted, LW can be shut off and started again, then it will find the old downloads without any problem. It saves the incomplete downloads in C:\My Documents\Incomplete In C:\My Documents\Limewire I only got a folder named Store Purchased (which is empty) I do NOT have any folders named Saved or Shared in the Limewire folder, just the mentioned Incomplete folder. The complete downloads are saved in C:\My Documents\My Video If anyone can help me find a solution, thne it would be greatly appreciated Thanks guys :xeri_ok1ani: LW 4.16.6 XP SP2 2.86 Ghz 512 MB RAM Wireless ADSL 40 GB free HD |
This is an annoying problem and if shuting down LW and then restarting it works that is okay but annoying. Thanks. |
Well this is beyond a joke. It seems that everytime I have started LW it refuses to resume the downloads I had going when I shut it down. The only thing I can guess would be the problem is that I am using non-default directories to store temporary files and the completed downloads. Anyone got any idea how I can fix this? |
OK, gang ! First click on > If LimeWire Will Not Load and maybe for afters (or a starter) a soupçon of > Fixes For Limewire When LW Isn't Operating As It Should Isn't it fun trusting in updates that are, of course, going to make everything better ? :cantseeyou: |
Forget It - Not Worth The Hassle - Something Is VERY Rotten At Limewire Quote:
It is an insult to the users. It is also absolutely inexcusable. Ooooopsss ! Just saw a ***NEWS FLASH*** report from our dear leader here... Limewire is no longer offering the 'offline' download... So, I would very strongly suggest that you cease even trying to use LW. They do NOT deserve your support or business anymore. Wise users should try something else. Such as... |
