Help?! Suddenly I'm sharing 3000 files instead of 300
 

how do I stop it? It keeps adding things I haven't downloaded to my shared list. I can't even configure because every time I press that it pops up and then disappears. goddamnit, it's up to 4000 and climbing. help!

Go to the LW Library tab, check which folders you are sharing. Be sure you are NOT sharing your incomplete folder, or any others that you don't wish to share. Right-click any folder or file you don't wish to share and choose stop sharing. Files and folders not being shared are in red.

I can't even access any of that. I can hit the tab but it's so busy still adding things to the list of what I'm sharing (up to 12000 now) that it won't let me access anything else.

by the way, I can see some of the stuff and it's none of my files, it's all other stuff that's not on my computer. i think i'm being used to route viruses or something. I'm seriously about to cry here.

oh thank jesus tap-dancing christ, i think i outsmarted them. i was finally able to select the folder all the new shared stuff was going into and delete it. I'm back to my 350 shared files.

It sounds like you downloaded a common virus found on the network yes. Their intention is to stop copyright sharing of course. Ignore files less than 2,000 KB (2 MB), programs and games and you should be ok.

Check your computer over with your AV.
