Download Problems - Need More Sources
 

Hi, I have spent the past couple of weeks reading my way through the forum, with little success, trying to find an answer, Please help. I am currently using version 4.16.7 and have been using Limewire for a few months now but over the past 2 weeks I am getting very little results from searches and when I do get a result I am unable to download (need more sources) I only down load documents (books etc) so very small downloads and I have full connection (all green). I have tried disconnecting from Ultrapeers and reconnecting, but this doesn't help. :eek: I am not the most computer literate of users so if possible could you please "dumb" it down for me. Thanks

6.Modem what brand name & model numbers ? Modum ADSL 2071 A Gateway
7.Router brand name & model numbers ? Wireless Router 802.11g 2.4gtz
8. Where are you trying to connect from (house, apartment complex, school, student accommodation, work, etc.) ? HOME
9. What version,LimeWire & Java, are you using. Go to L/W's Help/About L/W, THIS show both LW & Java version.? L/M 4.16.7 -JAVA 1.6.0_05
10. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider) ? TELSTRA BIGPOND
11. Do this test click here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ should say 'Your test worked!. What happens ? TEST WORKS
12. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. 2 other computors in home - 1 Mac, - 1 DELL COMP Windows XP (CURRENTLY NOT IN USE)
13. Is this your 1st try at LW, or is this a new problem with an experienced user.? USING LW FOR 6MTHS
14. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface ? YES
15. Have you given full permissions for LimeWire to pass through your Firewall ? YES
16. XP users, Please state XP firewall on or off.? OFF
17. In Start & remove Programs, Is this update Installed, "Security Update for Windows XP (KB931261)" ? KB931906
If Windows Updates are not seen, Tick the box at top of page, (show updates)
18. Are you using Manual Port faward in LimeWire OR UPnP ? UPnP
