Seems as if there are quite a few Problems with the Newer Versions of LW. You might try an older version untill the LW Boys get their act together.

OldVersion - Newer isn't always better ! Version 4.12.3 or 4.12.6 are probably the most stable versions without the useless Bittorrent attempt.

If you are interested in Torrents, I would suggest Googling BitTorrent Clients, There are Two that Stand Out. uTorrent and Azureus. Hope this Helps.
