Torrent Downloading Problem

I have been using Limewire for Torrents for some time now. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to Torrents and so I have never been able to get other clients to work optimally for me, and Limewire has worked perfectly for me up until tonight.
My problem is this:
I have 3 torrents downloading, all different sizes and types of files. They're all at different progresses as well. Earlier today they were downloading fine and at pretty decent speeds (upwards of 70kb/s). Then all of a sudden I went to check and they were all at 0kb/s even though they were still connected to numerous hosts. And time remaining was blank. So I paused them all and resumed them. They started picking up speed again, but then after about 15 seconds they all slowly and steadily decline in speed until at 0kb/s again.
I've restarted my computer, reinstalled Limewire, tried using BitTorrent (but it was way too slow).
I'm also using a Mac 10.4.11 if that helps.
Anyone know what I can do?

Update: I tried downloading a regular audio file (not a torrent) and it worked fine. Torrents still don't work.

I guess nobody knows what's going on?

LW is not the best program for torrents. Try using uTorrent or Azureus.

µTorrent - The Lightweight and Efficient BitTorrent Client

Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client

I understand that, but I just want to know why it randomly stopped working. For the last month or two I haven't had a single problem. All of a sudden this happens. There must be a reason right?

The short answer is "I don't know". I use LW for torrents and sometimes I get good speeds and other times I don't. The advice form some of the guys that d/load a lot of torrents is to use another client.

Try searching the forum for "Torrents". I'm sure it's been covered somewhere.

Okay, thank you anyways.
I'm a fellow Steelers fan btw.
I guess I'm going to have to try a different program. Too bad uTorrent isn't for Macs yet.

Try Azureus.

I found one called Transmission and it is working pretty well it seems. Thanks though.
