Torrent Downloads - only downloads five torrents

i have a few torrents downloading through limewire but it only ever connects five at a time
i've gone to tools, options, downloads and set the number of downloads to 100 but this makes no difference
i also have unlimited download bandwidth and the speed of the downloads at the moment is not a problem
if i pause one of my active torrent downloads another will start and the one i just paused will go to queued if i try and resume it
version 4.14.3 if that helps
any ideas?

Downloading Torrents through Limewire is like buying your Fiancee's Wedding Ring at Wal-Mart.

Yea you can do it, but LW just isn't suited for Torrents.

I know, I know... this reply isn't fixing your issues, but if you Really want to use Torrents then try a Bit Torrent Client. Hint (one is in my sig) :D
