Are you behind a Firewall ?? That would cause slow uploads and minimal connections to you.

Do a couple speed tests. Try doing them at different times of the day to get a good average of your speed. At peak usage times your speed will probably be slower than at off peak times.

Speakeasy - Speed Test

Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

Don't get confused between kilobits(kbs) and kilobytes(KBs), there are 8 bits to 1 Byte. So if the test shows results in kilobits, divide by 8 to get kilobytes. LW shows speeds in kilobytes: SpeedGuide.net :: Bits/Bytes Calculator

Both Upload and Download Speeds are tough. They Both depend on so many Different Circumstances to be able to get it right. The Problems could be your ISP, Slow connecting Peers, It goes on and on.

I think it just takes a lot of tweeking to see what works. See Link Below

Hope some of this Helps.

Charter might also have something to do with it...the links below have a bit of info about their 'traffic management' & other people experiencing slow upload speeds.

Tx for the link, ive used that before. I don’t have a firewall although the main computer downstairs does and this might effect me because I use a wireless connection that goes threw the router down there. I have seen a few people upload from me fairly fast but most cannot. yes maybe my isp( carter) is reduce my bandwidth to save money because im always using alot. I live in new England and used the NY server and that’s what I got.

Download Speed: 4647 kbps (580.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 485 kbps (60.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
