where did this @#$% on the monitor screen come from i went to the monitor screen and hit the enable box to see what would happen and a bunch of weird @#$% came up.where did it come from and how do i get rid of it and how do i stop it from happening again! |
Normally you shouldn't enable this box, but if you still want to know what people are searching for you can. The weird symbols can appear due to many reasons: 1. People are actually searching for it. 2. People are probably searching for international songs with non-english names 3. They're client may be old and full with bugs And there are many more. You shouldn't worry about it. Also, if you use ultrapeers, you proably won't see many searches. |
Duh. Ever thought of choosing Help > Using Limewire before randomly selecting options and bugging people with idiotic questions? |
Where do you think they came from Einstein, Uranus? Kriste, get a brain cell. |
Actually I also came here to find out if I should have that enable box checked, because I can't find anything about it in the FAQs or the Using Limewire. I thought I had to have it checked in order for people to be able to share my files, but you're saying it shouldn't be checked? When I do check it, it tells me that my "client is a leafnode shielded by an ultrapeer." I cannot find any of that in the glossary. I'm worried that because I'm behind a firewall, I'm not able to share my files and am being blocked from sharing other people's files. Sorry to be dense. Can anyone enlighten me? sue |
