firewall blocking limewire hi everyone i know this will be a repeat post.i run windows xp,with a rogers anti virus. i get a perfect connection but at the bottom of the limewire screen there is a brick wall, which im assuming is the firewall.i wont pretend to know what im doing cause i dont.it seems like the more i read on here the more i got confused afraid im gonna end up deleting a bunch of stuff i shouldnt. i tried uploading the latest version of limewire didnt work,i can still listen to my files in my library etc,but i cant download any music. |
When clicking on "direct connect" Limeware advises my firewall prevents me from downloading. I have turned off Windows XP firewall and actually deleted my e-set virus and fireall, but still get the same from "direct connect" and no titles show up after search has commenced for various artists. I even reinstalled Limewire, still no success. Any suggestions? |
