Can connect but nothing downloads?
 

Hi

First time posting here so be gentle :).

I have been running Limewire for a year or so with no probs. For about the last two weeks I was having the same prob as a lots of other users ie one green bar and no action.

Cracked and upgraded to LimewirePro tonight and low and behold I once again have a turbo charged connection. Trouble is download speeds an abismal 2kbs? Whats that all about? Even when plenty of hosts are available with highspeed connections still so slow?

I run VISTA on a high spec HP laptop have broadband through a wireless router, live behind a firewall (only one), no other computers on my network.

Its a recent problem so I'm not sure whether its a LW issue or BB provider?

*sighs* ... sorry to say this but your ISP has very recently become the problem; CARPHONE WAREHOUSE BROADBAND SERVICES. They are shaping p2p sharing bandwidth; see bottom of first post here ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire (Click on blue link)

You are connected if you see more than one green bar at bottom of screen.

Download problems? Cant download at all - nothing happens when I click download (click on link). If this is not your problem, then look at the red Sticky's at top of this section. :)
