Download speeds have dropped

Hi - please help

About 2 weeks ago (last time i was on limewire) i could download at about 100KB/s. Ive logged on this week numerous times and cannot get over 1KB/s - downloading from 7 or 8 Users !!!. Ive deleted and re-installed Limewire, done the ".Limewire" fix - still no use.

I have a good to turbo charged connection all the time. Ive tried installing Frostwire and Utorrent - and i have the same problem with these also ???, with or without firewall turned on/off.

My internet connection is fine - and ive checked my connection speed via the internet and its about 2500Kbps (download) 300kbps (Upload) - with a 80ms ping, so no issues there !!!. Ive also completed a system restore to about 1 month ago to see if that helped - no luck !!!

Im lost for ideas - ive never had this issue before and have been using limewire for years - any ideas would be much appreciated

Who is your ISP?

Any chance that you've exceeded your download limit for the month & might have dropped to a low speed?

Have you tried downloading outside of your ISP's peak hours, to see whether that makes any difference?

i have AOL unlimited - if i download anything off the web my speeds are still very good - so i dont think it is that
