Yes those settings are stored in your LW preferences folder in your. To find them, check Deleting LW Preferences folder in OSX. It's in your user account. :)

Download history is stored within two files called Downloads.dat & .bak inside your incomplete folder. Without those files your incomplete files will mean nothing to LW, even if a file is 90% downloaded. Unless you have a lot of incomplete files, it 'might' be worth deleting those files. At least in versions of LW prior to 4.17 that's where they were found, I heard in the later versions they are no longer stored there. I am not sure.

I deleted my preferences folder and reset everything and that did the trick. The file is now gone. :) Thanks so much for all your help!!!

The main LW preferences folder or the downloads preferences?

The main Limewire preferences folder. I couldn't find the downloads one.

So, the file's gone but I'm having another problem now... :( Limewire is fully connected (all 4 green bars) but gives me no search results. The little lime at the top just keeps spinning...
I went here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...h-results.html and did everything that said to and it didn't work. I also tried going to my Connections tab and removing the current connections and letting it find new ones.

About your first problem..
I had it as well but I solved it somehow this way:

tools > options > downloads > clear completed download (check the box). I put it on by mistake and the problem went away so I took it off and the problem just came back, so I put it on again and it's gone again. It can't be coincidence.
