Unhappy mp3 playback problems

I am totally new to this, but appreared to have successfully downloaded an mp3 file, until I played it back and heard these weird skips and glitches. What went wrong?

I am having the same problem about 50% of the time. Many of the mp3 files are "garbled" and slow. Other files are downloaded with no problem. I have noticed that the files that are always messed up are always bad no matter where I download them from or how many times I get them. I clear out the "incompletes" so I am always starting fresh but they still end up garbled. Any ideas?? Thanks.

try using a third-party mp3 player, such as WinAmp or iTunes.

Post mp3 Playback Problems

I should have clarified in my original post-- the mp3 player I was using to play the downloaded files was my Intel Audio Pocket Concert Player.

sorry, i don't know much about that player. what type of software do you use for it? usually, music files skip with the LimeWire Player on some systems, and using another music player application fixes the problem.
