download percentage stays the same hi i have some problems 1) im downloading an avi file but when it get to a certain percentage it stays like that for hours, i.e when it gets to 30% it goes to 31% then back down again to 30% over n over again. ive tried cancelling and deleting the file from the incomplete folder n download it again but still face the same problem. i even delete the .dat file from the incomplete folder. uninstalling n installing limewire faces the same result. 2) im currently using limewire pro 4.18.8. when downloading a file the maximum host i can download from is 10(downloading from 10 host). when i was using limewire pro 4.16.? the maximum host was 14. is this normal? thanks |
2) You are obviously using LW Pro if getting 10 hosts per file. Only if you are running as an ultrapeer can you get up to 14 hosts per files. ;) Similar question was asked here How do i remove the limit of hosts i can download from in Limewire PRO 1) Unfortunately the file you have chosen has a corruption. At some point LW has detected the corruption & you clicked yes to continue downloading & also clicked the 'always use this answer' option. So you would not be asked again. That happens to me now & again. And always the same file. Try to find the file from a different source if possible. Answered here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...wards-why.html :) hmm I should probably add more advice on that thread. ;) Also check the file with Bitzi; How to use Bitzi Web Lookup. (your problem is more of a download problem, so I moved your thread to the Upload/Downloads Problems section.) :) |
thanks mate. i dont quite understand when u say" Try to find the file from a different source". ive checked wit bitzi n it says the file is fine. there was 1 time when this happened so i uninstall n install an older version of limewire n download was ok. thats my way getting round corrupted files while downloading, its either that or using my other computer to download the file. just wondering if u have better solution lol |
Tell me about it. I'm seeing the same problem and I can't believe that every file I've tried to download over the past week was somehow corrupted. |
Have you checked the files from search results with Bitzi? How to use Bitzi Web Lookup When I said download from a different source, I meant in search results, if there is a different one listed, choose that one instead of the one you chose, if there is an alternative. There is a chance you have security software which is affecting your downloading files. |
