Status bar only showing 10 hosts

I'm using Lime wire Pro version 4.18.8 and have been for while on a windows vista (32bit) OS. System crash and lost ALL in computer. Reinstalled Lime Wire Pro and made all settings the same as before crash. Used to download from up to 14 host as shown in status bar with download speeds up 237Kbs. Bit now have not seen anything over 10 hosts in status bar and am lucky to get up to 100Kbs on download. Am I missing something here? Please help.

Yes you are. You can only get that many hosts per file if you are running as an ultrapeer. Go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Performance & make sure Ultrapeer is not disabled. However you will only become an ultrapeer if the network around your area requires one, you are not firewalled & your LW is behaving well & has up/down bandwidth available. It cannot be forced. The following link was asking the same question: How do i remove the limit of hosts i can download from in Limewire PRO

Well as You suggested i checked my settings and I DO NOT have disable Ultrapeer checked. Although i did find that I did not have the option to choose my connection speed. Is locked at broadband which was not the case prior to hard drive crash. Was set at T3. or is it T1 speed. I am not firewalled and LW is behaving well. I have an excellent internet connection at the moment and prior to crash have had download speeds >200Kbs. but only reaching speeds <100Kbs and averaging about 24Kbs at the moment. This is frustrating when it takes all night to download 1 movie when it used to take less than 2.

Well as suggested, Ultrapeer mode cannot be forced (unlike it could be in earlier LW versions). And being an ultrapeer is not promised by LW. In time I'm sure your LW will become one. Perhaps presently there are sufficient ultrapeers on the network in your general area. Patience is a virtue. I believe the longer you are connected, the better chance of going into UP mode.

To check if you are running in ultrapeer mode, go to Connections window, if more than 5 U.P.'s then you are running in ultrapeer mode.

I do not run as an ultrapeer, yet you saw my speed examples in my link above. I was simply downloading from 10 or less hosts per file. Yet my bandwidth is probably not as high as yours. Speeds very much depend on what bandwidth is available by the hosts you are downloading from.
