: bangh: Windows vista, limewire pro (most recent ver) cable modem wireless router. I have a partitioned hardDrive from the factory stupid thing. I started using limewire on the d drive partition 100 gig. My computer kept crashing so I changed the incomplete and completed downloads to the c drive 5-7 gig available My incomplete folders won't fit on the c and I'm constantly finding what's available and cutting and pasting from the old d drive incomplete folder to the c drive incomplete which can't hold much. files used to resume where they started, it would show 1% then rapidly climb where it left off and continue downloading. now 700mb files that took all day to get to 90% start out all over again its infuriating what did i do wrong. whoever helps me with this problem. gets help with whatever non lime wire "life problem" they run into now or later. I'm 43 and have excellent problem solving skills and am consulted by most of my friends in that area. I don't like asking for free help, but help me now and I'll drop everything and spend an hour on whatever problem you throw at me now or later. I assume most of the people who respond to these things are kids or young adults, Thank you very much

Are you using LW 5 or LW 4?

Don't forget to look up files with Bitzi, to check whether they're good/bad.

Is this happening with every file that you try to download, or just a few?

Something else that may help is: Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link)

If you've suddenly started seeing this problem with all of your downloads, maybe you need to look at what security programs you're using. Perhaps one of your security progs (or could even be a firewall) is overly aggressive?

If you're using LW 5 then please let us know & we'll try to find some answers. 5 is so new that we're still learning about it,too.
