Welcome to Gnutella Forums. Your answer is here: Sharing 'other' types of files such as Software in LimeWire 5.

Choose Share Documents.

Double-check, PDF should be listed but go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Files, then click on File Extensions ... Manage button, then click on Documents. If PDF is not listed, then tick it & all should be ok.
