 I think the point of the increasing requery time is to keep from bombarding the network, or any particular client, with endless requests. It makes sense to me to increase the wait period after a few unsuccessful attempts, though I have to agree that 8k seconds is a bit ridiculous. I would think once every 15 minutes would be a reasonable compromise between overloading the network and missing an opportunity to get a file.  |
