1. Change download location to a different drive or partition. Also select the LW icon & choose run as admin.

Which version of LW are you using? Have you used older LW versions without this problem?

Do you also have problems with previewing audio files?

Which player are you using?

Are you checking files with Bitzi before download? http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...owse-chat.html

You could try VLC player - it's free & has codecs installed to play most file types. The thread here has a link to download VLC & also links to various codec packs: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/tips-t...p3-fixers.html

Two new scams I've recently encountered when playing videos:
one takes you to a fake Microsoft Windows page to download a CODEC,
the other takes you to a fake Adobe page to download their latest flash player.

Both pages look very legit, but Microsoft says I don't need anything, and I made sure that I have the latest from Adobe. G-Spot said that those movie files each contained over 700 unused bytes at end of file, obviously bogus, (I was suspicious when they downloaded a little too fast!).

If you need an update to your player in order to watch a video, NEVER accept the link that pops up. Use your browser to find the update you need from the proper source.
