I've just downloaded limewire 5.4.6, and I'm using it as my bittorrent software to download from Dime. However, after about 5 minutes of it running, this new download crashes with a "LimeWire has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" error.
Anyone else getting this? Can go back to a previous version that works? |

LW isn't a good torrent client & is banned from many private trackers
![]() You'd be better off using a proper torrent client like uTorrent or Vuze (formerly Azureus) If you do want to persevere with LW, try disabling performance options: Tools > Options > Advanced > Performance. Disable DHT & TLS > ok. |
