Incomplete downloads - (Almost comlete -99%)

I am having a problem where some downloads go to 99% with very little left to complete and then stall. For instance one is 30K of 500Mb short of completion and another is .01 GB of 1.03 GB. bothe show a speed of 0.0 KB/s from multiple users. Restarting LW does not help. If I delete the DL and start the DL again the same thing happens at the same point in the same file. This has only occurred recently, all in 5.4.6. Not all files do this, only happens on maybe one in 10. It's almost LW is having problems closing the file.

Try right-clicking the download & Change Location to a different drive or partition & see if that helps.

It is strange that should happen to multiple downloads. For the odd one it suggests the person with 100% of the file is not online & the others sharing the file back also only have 99% of the file or less (partial file sharing.)

There have been reports of files stopping around the 95% mark with LW 5.4.6 which might be a bug. LW are investigating this.

Found the problem - BUG

I tried a different partition, rebooting, reinstalling and just about everything else. I am downloading FLAC files (audio). Here is what causes this. If there are several small files included at the end of the DL this is what LW is choking on. For instance a readme.txt or a m3U file may causae this. These files are small (less than 1K). All the big files DL fine, all the failures were DLs with these small files not completed. As soon as I uncheck them the DL finished. This is a bug.

ah .. so you are talking about TORRENTS lol :D

If using older LW preferences you might also be filtering out certain types of files.

LW is not a great torrent program. Vuse & uTorrent are the best accepted ones.
