torrent downloads are missing Everytime I download a torrent file through LW, the file goes missing. Searching my hard drive does not work either. I have vista 64bit. Can anyone help? |
On a scale from 0 to 10.000.000.000, how sure are you to have downloaded the said file? Do you know the file's extension like BMP, AVI, EXE, DOC? search from it using its extension. |
Yes i'm positive I downloaded the files, somehow it disappears from my saved folder. This only happens with torrent files. Indexing doesn't work. |
Computer are 100% errors free, errors are human. |
OK, thanks Chine2004. Can anyone else please help? |
Hi newmex, Which version of LW are you using? Have you been able to download torrents with LW in the past, or is this your first try? Are the files movies, music, programs etc...? Apart from searching for file extensions, have you also searched your HDD for file names? What's your download location for file types (in LW tools > options > transfers > downloads)? LW isn't a proper torrent client (it was originally a gnutella client & torrent support has been added later) & is banned from many private trackers. IMO you'd be much better off using a dedicated torrent client such as uTorrent or Vuze (formerly Azureus) I use μTorrent. |
