Downloads are too slow on mac

Hello,

I installed Limewire Pro 5.4.6 on Mac OSx 10.6.3, but the downloads are really slow (1-max.Ko) or zero. I read that I should to open some ports on my modem to speed up the downloads. The problem is that I dont know how to do it. My modem is an Aztech DSL600EW.
