Limewire Sucks!!!!!!!

I've read dozens of posts and also have tried different suggestions on how to solve my download problems and I still continue to have the same problems as everyone else.

IT JUST WON'T DOWNLOAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
98% of everything I try to download either says, requeried, busy or ould not download.

What really sucks is their ripping people off by making them think that the paid version is better, when the same thing keeps happening.

My guess is Limewire won't be in business very long if they don't correct the problem. I for one am dumping them. I'm not going to waste my time for zero results.

I agree

I agree 100% Everything I try to download WONT!!! Limewire must correct this problem, or else they will go bankrupt. Although $8 isn't too much money, it is money. If you PAY for something, than that something should work, or they should get refunds.

What's gonna send them bankrupt? aka Is 2.3 broken too?

How are they gonna go bankrupt?

They are laughing all the way to the bank.

Income from ads + income from people who buy the product 'on spec' - ie untested.

They have enough reputation now that new users like us will keep on rolling in, and a certain number of those will pay up front. The others will use it for long enough to crop up a few tens of cents from the ad company. Multiply that by the few million users, it's quite a bit of dough.

I think maybe they can live on the interest, and keep coding broken software for the rest of their lives ;-) ha ha!
But seriously, is 2.3 any better?

I think the problems caused by 2.2.4 will probably be around for a while, until everyone upgrades to a version that works.

But, does 2.3 upload when number of slots is set to 1?

Does 2.3 set a sane upper limit on the 'requery' time?

Does 2.3 search for more than 15 s?

If these things are still broken, I'll never bother with LimeWire again, no matter how 'good' people say it gets.

still broken

I have no problem downloading. If the servers are available Limewire seems to give better results than Gnucleus. My problem is with files disappearing from the incomplete folder, or disappearing entirely!

I am using 2.3.1 pro. The answers to Nosferatu's questions are:
1: Have only tried min. of 2. This uploads fine.
2: NO! 10000 secs, and more.
3: Still too short.

addendum

Sorry, should have said,"disappearing entirely, or resetting to zero."

I've tried the others and I prefer Limewire. The typical speed and dropped connections aren't limewires fault. I've easily downloaded over 100gig during the past year. This of course is since I got cable, with dial-up I had a 99.9% failure rate.
I think the biggest drag is all the bad or mis-labeled files out there.
