Why uploads fail?

I'm wondering why every upload from my limewire pro 2.3.2 program ends with a transfer interrupted and the progress and speed always display 0. I am using a Linksys BEFW11S4 Etherfast WEP Router. I'm also using NAT and port forwarding from 6345-6380 for UDP/TCP to the system that is running limewire.

I can search and download and I can see people initiating uploads but I don't see any indication from limewire that the upload is progressing. Any ideas as to what the problem is? Is there a way I can check to make sure my router isn't causing a problem?

Another note, I've also tried connecting directly to my cable modem with no firewall/NAT router in between. Still see 0 progress/speed on attempted uploads.

I would also like to add as a paying customer, that Limewire support is pretty weak. I have posted about this issue several times in this forum without any reply from a LW developer and I've sent them e-mail without a reply. So aside from not seeing ads in the limewire client, I don't see a compelling reason to pay for LW pro.

Trying to get a response from a LW developer.

For the record, I'm also a registered user with the exact same problem/inquiry. I'd say 9 out of 10 uploads don't make it. In the spirit of what Limewire is supposed to be (about sharing, right?) it concerns me that I'm not able to share my stuff.

I know I'm not a LW dev, but I'd just like to chime in with my 2 cents here if I may.

To me, it sounds like something upstream might be affecting your ability to upload... like at your ISP. Is it possible that they might be filtering traffic to and from your system? The reason I ask is that you stated that you removed your router from the picture and the problem is still occurring.

One thing you could try is just to download and install another Gnutella client like Gnucleus or something just to see if the same thing happens within it. No, I'm not saying you should switch to Gnucleus... just use it as a testing tool for now. If the same thing happens within Gnucleus then it's probably safe to say that it's probably not a problem with LimeWire and it becomes a greater possibility that something external to your Gnutella client that's the cause.... if you're not having any other problems with your internet connection, then it's also probably safe to assume that your internet settings aren't at fault... which then leads us to your ISP as one of the only other fault points. If uploads in Gnucleus work, then it's possible that something in LimeWire is at fault (in which case, I'm at a loss).

Sorry, I can't be of much more help than that... like I said, I just thought I'd chime in my 2 cents.
