I think I downloaded a Trojan ???

In my shared folder is shows 667 shared files of which I know I only downloaded approximately 45 files. Also, all the files are 33.3 Mb and a couple are 41.8Mb in size.

Does anyone know how to successfully delete these files. I manually deleted them (what a pain) only to find them right back where I deleted them from.

THANKS Scott22

I think I know that virus.
Probably it's this virus:

Or something similiar. Try to do a scan if you are not sure if it is this virus. If it is, relax, it is easy to remove. Just follow the instructions there.

Trojan

Scott if your running win 2000 or xp and the system restore is on you will have to shut down the system restore so your antivirus software will then have access to it as while it is running no virus checks can be done on it. Shut it down and reboot system then run your antivirus then you can restart the system restore if you like. It seems most trojans these days like to go there and it is impossible to remove them unless you do the above. I have done this several times and works great for me
