Help With Deleted Files

I was downloading a 790 megs files and when I was at 75% it became "waiting for busy host" by mistake I clicked on "clear all inactive downloads" and now it is gone. I tried to do a system restore to the day before and there was the file but it was back to 0%. How can I get it back to 75%?

Please reply ASAP

Thanks a lot, I appreciate all the help you can give me!

Sigh

Sigh... Oh man I guess I will have to restart all over again. I am back to 19% now but it is going so slowly is not even funny!

The file that I am downloading is the CD 1 for P**ch Archi***ral Series *000.

I am not familiar with BearShare and I am a new Limewire user. What is the difference between them? Which one is better?

Thanks for your help!

Now you got me confused. WHICH one are you using? I myself always find resume difficult in both programs but bearshare seems to handle resume much better, provided, you didnt system restore and provide, you keep it in your incomplete folder so you can resume. ;) if you lost your download in either program, the only solution would be to startover and try to avoid doing system restores in the future.

I use Limewire Pro 4.9.28

ahh ok then you're out of luck im afraid and will have to start fresh to redownload the file.

Would you recommend me to use BearShare instead??? How is it different? What are its advantages?

Simple answer. Go to your LW Library window, select the incomplete folder, then find & select the file that disappeared from the downld window, then press the Resume button. This will force it back into the downld window. BTW another method is just to re-search for the file with LW, then re-select it to downld. It should recontinue from where it left off.

I wasnt sure if he had the file saved or not in his incompletes or not after he did a system restore and, I would recommend Bearshare for resumes. LW in my experience has never resumed any files and Ive tried. ;) but, thats just me.

Thank you LOTR, I only joined this forum so I could say that. I was halfway through a large download, and leant on the wrong button in Limewire (sorry I know its bearshare here, but google lead me here) moving the keyboard. It's now resuming so thanks a lot!
